Tried meditation, to-do lists, mirroring or another popular organization or communication techniques—but it just doesn’t work for you?
You’re not alone. We understand that many common communication or executive functioning strategies aren’t designed with neurodivergent minds in mind. That’s why we use approaches created by and for neurodivergent people. There’s no one-size-fits-all solution when it comes to communication and executive functioning. Speech therapy can help you explore tools and techniques that actually work for you—in ways that feel supportive, not frustrating.
How can Speech Therapy help me?
Many people aren't taught practical communication or executive functioning strategies during their education, so as adults, they often turn to therapists to learn new tools and approaches that support everyday life. Speech therapy is a helpful tool for adults who want to better understand their communication style. Therapy can help people feel more confident in conversations with friends, family, dating partners, and coworkers. Speech therapy at Woven Communication supports navigating conflict in healthy ways and building effective communication in the workplace. Along with that, we offer practical strategies for executive functioning—like staying organized, planning ahead, and finishing tasks—which can boost confidence and reduce stress. Overall, Speech Therapy can help people recognize when they need rest and how to prevent burnout before it happens.
Speech Therapy is tailored to each individual's goals,

Communication Support
Support for social communication focuses on helping people feel confident, understood, and empowered in all areas of life. This includes learning strategies to support identifying and expressing: emotions, preferences, and boundaries clearly in both personal and professional settings. You'll be encouraged to explore your natural communication style—and then examine other's communication styles. You’ll also get support in requesting accommodations that help you thrive, such as written instructions or sensory-friendly environments, and learn how to advocate for your needs in the workplace. You'll gain tools to navigate complex systems—like healthcare, the workplace or education—that may not always be accessible, and practice how to handle misunderstandings or bias with confidence. The goal in Speech Therapy is to shift away from the idea that one's communication needs to be “fixed” and instead celebrating neurodivergent ways of communicating.
