My Commitment to Community Care
Everyone—whether an individual or a family—deserves access to compassionate, expert care, regardless of financial circumstances. That’s why we offer sliding scale pricing: to remove barriers of insurance and make speech therapy accessible to all, not just those who can pay the full rate.
A sliding scale sets fees for services at different levels based on financial need. This model helps ensure equitable access to services, and it’s sustained by those in our community who are able to pay a bit more—supporting others who might not otherwise be able to afford care.
At Woven Communication, we are always open to a conversation and committed to working collaboratively to find a payment solution that makes sense for you or your family. If this system does not work for your needs, please don’t hesitate to reach out—I’ll do my best to connect you with the right support, whether that’s with me or another trusted provider.

How the Sliding Scale Works
-
You choose the fee level that aligns with your current financial situation.
-
No income verification is required.
-

My Story
Before becoming a speech therapist, I worked in various roles, including server, bartender, paraprofessional, and fiber arts instructor. As a neurodiverse person, I faced challenges navigating burnout in a world designed primarily for neurotypical individuals. In 2022, I earned my Master’s of Science from Portland State University, discovering a passion for neurodiversity-affirming care in speech therapy. Since then, I’ve worked in private clinics and school-based settings.

These experiences have fueled my commitment to creating inclusive and supportive spaces where individuals can thrive. I firmly believe there is no one right way to be, think, or act, that behavior is communication, and that we should always presume competence. My approach combines evidence-based practices with compassion and creativity, focusing on each person’s unique strengths and goals. I weave my life principles of respect, autonomy, and having fun into my practice to ensure a holistic and empowering experience for all.
The Space
The therapy space is designed to support sensory needs with flexibility and care. Lighting, sound, and temperature are adjustable to suit individual comfort. Fidgets, stretchy swings, and cozy seating are available to help regulate and engage the body. Every element is tailored to create a calming, supportive environment where each person can feel safe and focused. The office includes a shared waiting room with books, toys and fidgets to help you wait and a gender-inclusive ADA accessible bathroom to ensure comfort and accessibility for everyone.
